Vestry Update

November Update

The Vestry gathered November 13th for a retreat at the Parish House to complete the Leadership Bible Study on 1st Corinthians. A dish-to-pass dinner followed.

At their regular meeting November 18th, the Vestry started their meeting with Evening prayer.
Finance Commission.

  • The Treasurer reviewed financial statements for the year 1 January to 31 October 2010.
  • Mutual Ministry Review. The review process was begun, focusing on evaluation of the Vestry and Commission performance by the Rector, summarized as follows:

October Update

At their regular Meeting October 28th, the Vestry continued with Lesson 2 of a Leadership Bible Study
on 1 Corinthians.

Correspondence

  • Snow Plowing Contractor Rick Pope advised the Rector that the cost of each plowing or sanding would be $60 this winter.
  • Warden Steckline submitted a check for $50.00 he had received from a grateful patient to the Treasurer who will designate it for “Missions” in accordance with the wishes of the donor.

August Update

The Vestry opened their regular Meeting August 26th with Lesson 1 of a Leadership Study on 1 Corinthians

Correspondence

  • Received a letter from the Church Pension Fund announcing a feasibility study on the need for revision of The Hymnal 1982. Hoadley volunteered to be the parish contact for the study.
  • Deacon Donna Steckline announced her resignation as Youth Pastor of the Butternut Valley.
